Welcome to Café Villagatan 1, a charming café nestled in an elegant old villa at Villagatan 1, 134 41 Gustavsberg, Sweden. This unique spot perfectly combines culinary delights with an artistic ambiance, making it an ideal destination for anyone seeking a leisurely dining experience.

The moment you step into Café Villagatan 1, you’re enveloped by a warm and cozy atmosphere, punctuated by art pieces that inspire creativity and relaxation. Patrons rave about the café's inviting decor and its lovely garden, making it a wonderful spot for a coffee break or a casual meal. Customer Lisa von Seth captures this perfectly, noting it as a "cosy cafe in a former artist studio" with "lovely service!" Here, you can unwind while sipping on expertly brewed coffee, surrounded by the beauty of art.

The menu at Café Villagatan 1 is a delightful showcase of flavors that cater to diverse tastes. Start your culinary journey with their Asiatisk sallad, a magical shrimp and glass noodle salad loaded with fresh bean sprouts, carrots, mango, sugar snaps, spring onions, peanuts, lime, chili, fish sauce, coriander, and a drizzle of chili mayo, all beautifully topped with roasted sesame seeds for the price of SEK 145. For those craving a taste of the Mediterranean, dive into the Grekisk sallad, a classic Greek delight featuring the perfect balance of cucumber, tomatoes, red onions, peppers, olives, feta cheese, and a refreshing addition of watermelon and mint, yours for SEK 140. The café also offers the delightful Panzanella, a Tuscan bread salad bursting with flavor.

But it’s not just the savory options that make this café a must-visit; their selection of homemade treats is equally tantalizing! Indulge in their freshly baked fruit and berry pies, or choose from an enticing variety of bite-sized desserts and small cookies that showcase the café’s commitment to quality and taste. Customers like Andreas Nylander emphasize the café's impressive range of cinnamon buns and cakes that promise to delight your sweet tooth.

One of the unique aspects of Café Villagatan 1 is the artistic atmosphere fostered by the artist's studio situated behind the villa. As Fatih Degirmenci notes, this provides a wonderful backdrop for enjoying your meal, surrounded by truly inspiring paintings that elevate your cafe experience beyond the ordinary. Many visitors praise the friendly service, even if it can sometimes be on the slower side, as noted by Anders Emretsson, which only adds to the laid-back vibe of the café.

Whether you’re alone, with friends, or looking for a place to recharge while surrounded by art and nature, this cozy café promises satisfaction with every visit.

A nice cafe in an old villa. In addition to the cafe itself, there is an atelijer of an artist behind the villa with really nice paintings.

Love it. 5 stars if you serve more warm dishes (and get a wine license!)

Goda mackor, inga underverk men riktigt stabila. Kommer gärna tillbaka!
